  • Login to your account at https://squareup.com/us/en and go to your dashboard.
  • On the dashboard, click on Add an item. There, you can fill in item customization details.
  • After you are done entering your item details, click Save to add the new item to your item library.
  • Next, sign into your GRUBBRR admin dashboard at https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/.
  • Click on the Sync Data from Square icon (at the top right corner) to sync your new item to your GRUBBRR admin dashboard.
  • Under the menu tab on the left, go to items and confirm that your new item is present.
  • If you have not done so in your Square admin, upload an image for the new item.
  • Then click on the Tablet Icon on the top right corner to sync data to the kiosk.
  • Login to your account at https://squareup.com/us/en and go to your dashboard.
  • On the dashboard, click Items on the left panel to view your existing items.
  • Click on the three horizontal dots to the right of the item that you want to modify to edit or delete. This is where you make all changes to an item including names, prices, categories, options, modifiers, etc. NOTE: Item pictures you would like displayed on the kiosk should be managed in the GRUBBRR admin dashboard.
  • Click Save after making changes to your item.
  • If you wish to delete the item instead of editing, please click on Action → Delete to delete your item.
  • Go to https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/ and click on the Sync Data from Square icon (at the top right corner) to sync your changes.
  • Finally, click on the Tablet Icon on the top right corner to sync data to the kiosk.
  • Login to your account at https://squareup.com/us/en and go to your dashboard.
  • On the dashboard, go to Items → Categories.
  • Click on Create a Category. Name your category and click Save.
  • Click on Assign Items and select items that you want to put in the category.
  • Alternatively, you can also assign items to categories through the Edit Item page.
  • Go to https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/ and click on the Sync Data from Square icon (at the top right corner) to sync your changes.
  • Login to your account at https://squareup.com/us/en and go to your dashboard.
  • On the dashboard, go to Items → Modifiers.
  • Click on Create a Modifier Set. There, you can fill in a name for your modifier set, create new modifiers, add price for modifiers, etc.
  • When you are done, click Save to add your new modifier set.
  • Next, click Apply to Items to select items that you want your new modifier set to apply to, and click Save.
  • Go to https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/ and click on the Sync Data from Square icon (at the top right corner) to sync your changes.
  • Finally, click on the Tablet Icon on the top right corner to sync data to the kiosk.
  • Login to your account at https://squareup.com/us/en and go to your dashboard.
  • On the dashboard, go to Items → Sales taxes.
  • Click on Create a Tax. There, you can create a name for your tax, input tax percentage, etc.
  • When you are done, click Save to add your new modifier set.
  • Then, you can click Apply to Items to select items that you want your sales tax to apply to, or click Select All if you want the sales tax to apply to all items, and click Save
  • Go to https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/ and click on the Sync Data from Square icon (at the top right corner) to sync your changes.
  • Finally, click on the Tablet Icon on the top right corner to sync data to the kiosk.
  • Login to your GRUBBRR admin dashboard at https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/ and go to Menu → Items.
  • Find the item that you want to hide from your kiosk and click on the blue toggle button to deactivate your item. The item status should then show that it’s inactive.
  • Finally, click the Tablet Icon on the top right corner to sync data to the kiosk. Your item is now inactivated on the kiosk and will not appear.
  • All changes made to an item are done through Square except for item images which can be done through GRUBBRR’s admin panel.

    • Login to https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/ and go to Menu → Items.
    • Click on the Image Placeholder Icon on the left side of the item name.
    • In the pop-up, either drag and drop the image or click to browse your files to upload your image.
    • Click Save, then click the Tablet Icon on the top right corner to sync data to the kiosk.

    NOTE: Item images can be uploaded in your Square admin panel as well as the GRUBBRR admin dashboard. However, category and modifier images can only be uploaded in the GRUBBRR admin dashboard.

  • Login to https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/ and go to Menu → Upsells.
  • Click on Add New. There, you can choose the item that you want to upsell, the upsell price, and the items that you want your upsell to be connected to.
  • When you are done, click the Save button to create the new upsell item.
  • Finally, click the Tablet Icon on the top right corner to sync data to the kiosk. Now your upsell is live on your kiosk.
  • On your iPad, go to Settings → Accessibility and turn on Guided Access
  • Press Passcode Settings → Set Guided Access Passcode to create a six-digit passcode. You can also turn on Face ID / Touch ID to use the side button to end Guided Access.
  • Open the GRUBBRR Kiosk app and triple-click the home button (or side button if there is no home button)
  • You can also enable or disable features by tapping Options at the bottom left of the screen.
  • Tap Start to begin guided access, and triple-click home button (or side button) to end Guided Access.
  • On your device, open the GRUBBRR Kiosk app.
  • Go to Settings (by tapping logo 5 times) and a popup screen will appear to ask if you would like to connect a reader. Press Yes.
  • Press the Connect a reader button.
  • Press and hold the button on the back of your Square reader until it flashes orange (about 3 seconds), then set the reader next to your device to pair.
  • Press Pair when the Bluetooth Pairing Request pops up.
  • Your device will then display that your payment reader is ready.
  • Press Done to close the tab. Your reader should now be connected to your device.

NOTE: If your reader is already paired with another device, you can long hold the button on the back to reset the device. Hold the button until the lights flash red. You can then proceed with pairing with your kiosk.

  • Connect your printer to your network via ethernet cable and check that your printer and kiosk are connected to the same network. NOTE: Your printer will not print if your kiosk and printer are on different networks.
  • Login to your GRUBBRR admin dashboard at https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/ and go to Configuration → Printers → Add Printer.
  • There, you can enter the printer name, select the printer location, choose the printer model, input the printer’s IP address, and select what task the printer will perform. Then click Save.
  • Go to Configuration → Devices and click the edit icon next to the kiosk you want to assign your printer to.
  • Under Assign Printers, select the printer from the drop down for the particular function you would like the printer to perform.
  • Click Save, then click the Tablet Icon on the top right corner to sync data to the kiosk.
  • Turn off your printer
  • Press and hold the feed button
  • Turn on printer while continuing to hold the feed button
  • Continue to hold the feed button until the network configurations report prints out. The IP address can be found on the printed report.

NOTE: This method works for most printers. If this doesn’t work for your particular model of printer, please google the particular method applicable to your specific model.

There are four types of printers that can be connected to the GRUBBRR kiosk.

  • Login to https://beta.freshkds.com/, go to Settings → Integration Tokens → Create Tokens.
  • Input a name in Token Description and click Create Token.
  • Copy the line of characters and numbers which is the token value.
  • Login to your GRUBBRR admin dashboard at https://squareadmin.grubbrr.com/ and go to Configuration → Fresh KDS → Activate Fresh KDS.
  • Paste the token value obtained earlier and click Save and Continue
  • Click on the Action Icon and assign Square locations for each of your Fresh KDS locations
  • Once completed, click the Tablet Icon on the top right corner to sync data to the kiosk.
